Banburyshire’s most (and least) expensive streets revealed over the last five years

Gathering five year’s worth of sold house price data across the OX15, OX16 and OX17 postcodes, Magpie Road in Sulgrave, the village of Sibford Gower near Banbury and Horn Hill in Barford St. Michael have some of the highest-valued homes across the region.

Some of the cheapest residential streets include Friars Hill in Wroxton, Setler House in South Street in Banbury and Crouch Street in Banbury.

Property business Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2015 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the OX15, OX16 + OX17 postcodes.

In Magpie Road in Sulgrave four properties sold for an average of £965,000.

On Sibford Gower three properties sold for an average of £916,000.

Also, Horn Hill in Barford St. Michael saw four properties sell for an average of £802,500.

Some of the cheapest streets included Friars Hill in Wroxton (where seven properties sold for an average of £88,735), Setler House on South Street in Banbury (where five properties sold for an average of £98,600) and Crouch Street in Banbury (where three properties sold for an average of £106,666).

Commenting on the data, a spokesperson for Property Solvers said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.”

“It’s therefore worth noting a detached property on Edgehill in Banbury sold for £1.93 million in April 2016. Another detached property on Green Lane in Swalcliffe sold for £1.55 million in July 2015. There were also a number of other sales over the £1.15 million mark”

“At the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for under £90,000 on Newtimber Court in Hook Norton and Restel House on South Street."
