Great British Bake Off has launched a subscription box for fans - here’s how it works

Fans of the Great British Bake Off may be disappointed that there’s only one episode left to come of this year’s series.

But the good news is that a new subscription service means you can get involved with all the fun from your own kitchen.

The official Great British Bake Off subscription service will enable fans to get involved at home by making recipes that the Bake Off team have approved. It is due to launch in February 2021.

Each delivery box will include ingredients sourced from the UK, and a recipe challenge, alongside a bespoke, collectible piece of equipment designed by the Bake Off team.

The recipe card will be suitable for all abilities, so whether you’re a baking novice or a professional in the kitchen, everyone will be able to get involved. All recipes have been tested by The Great British Bake Off team, and the boxes will include a variety of different recipes to test your skills.

The dry ingredients will be pre-measured in a bid to reduce food waste, and there will also be a checklist of fresh ingredients you will need to buy separately in order to make your bake.

How much is the subscription service?

Costs vary depending on the type of subscription you choose.

A monthly rolling subscription of The Bake Off Box costs £19.99 per month, whereas a three month bundle adds up to £59.97, and a six month deal is priced at £119.94. However, it’s worth noting that there are limited amounts of the subscription box available.

From every box purchased, 50p will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer, which is the charity campaign the celebrity version of Bake Off episodes support each year.

How can I order a box?

To receive a Bake Off Box, all you have to do is choose the type of subscription that best suits you and sign up.

You will then be sent a checklist so you can prepare, and the box will be sent straight to your door.

If you’re buying the box as a gift, simply choose the subscription you would like, and then, when you check out, tick the box to say that the order is a gift, alongside giving the recipient’s address. When you have completed your order, you will receive a link to personalise your digital gift card, which you can then print out or email.
