Families are invited to step into a Hansel and Gretel-inspired Halloween adventure at the popular venue until this Sunday (November 1).

Called Scarily Ever After, the family-friendly event combines a trail of puzzles and riddles, a pumpkin giveaway, creative activities and a meeting with Ginger the Witch - a fairytale character who has discovered a sweeter way of life through gingerbread decorating.

Children can complete their own Spellbook Passport as they follow Hansel and Gretel’s trail, earning a ‘No Trick, Just Sweet Treat’ reward. The Pebble Trail leads to the Woodcutters’ Pumpkin Patch, where each child receives a pumpkin to take home. Families can carve or paint their pumpkins in the Woodcutters’ Carving Marquee.

Nick Laister, Director of Fairytale Farm, said: “We want Halloween to be an adventure families can enjoy together. With Scarily Ever After, children become part of the story following clues, solving riddles and discovering what happens when a familiar fairytale witch shows her sweeter side.”

Ginger will welcome young apprentices for gingerbread decorating, while the Crafty Candy Marquee hosts Halloween activities with Creation Station. Visitors can look out for cheeky Crow-Scarers along the trail and those arriving in costume receive a special trick-or-treat welcome. Halloween face-painting is also available for a small additional charge.

The event offers another opportunity to experience Journey to Alice’s Wonderland, Fairytale Farm’s magical ride, alongside the attraction’s animals, play areas and fairytale features.

Mr Laister said: “The joy is in those little moments: working out a riddle together, deciding what face to give your pumpkin and watching a child proudly show off their gingerbread creation. We are bringing those experiences together with the imagination and character that make Fairytale Farm special.”

The celebration continues after dark with Potions & Spells Halloween & Illuminations Parties on Friday and Saturday. An Interactive Wizardry Workshop, Ginger’s Bewitching Story Corner and Trick-or-Treat Bingo with the Woodcutter’s Wife run from 5pm - 7pm.
