The winner of a two-course meal for two with wine at the Yew Tree pub in Avon Dassett is Sarah Heath of Horsham Drive, Banbury. It was a tricky question - 'who owns the Yew Tree pub?' as our story correctly described how the landlord is Jack McEntee, running the pub and restaurant with his partner Ella Heritage.

However, the correct answer to the question was also in the story. In fact, the pub is owned by the village of Avon Dassett who bought the pub as a community asset and have contracted Mr McEntee as the landlord/manager.

Many people gave David's Flowers huge praise and many said it is the best florist in Banbury. We had a number of entries where people who, if they had won, would have nominated the flowers to people they are separated from, who are unwell or who have been bereaved. We wish we could have given bouquets to all these entrants and we wish all of them a very merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.
