Farmers get their machines decorated brightly for Friday's Christmas Tractor Run in aid of Banbury's hospice - here are the times

The festive convoy has become a huge attraction since it started in 2016. Drivers from RC Baker along with friends, family and customers from the local farming community, have continued to light up the streets each year with its festive fleet raising over £21,000 for Katharine House Hospice.

Donations can be made by texting Tractorlights 5 to 70085 (to donate £5) or via the RCBaker JustGiving page here, where farmers may also sign up to be part of the procession for £20. By today (Tuesday) the fund has already reached 95 per cent of its target for 2020.

RC Baker said: "2020 has been a difficult year for everyone and after a lot of consideration and discussions with local authorities, we were delighted to announce that the Christmas Tractor Run would be going ahead on Friday, December 18.

"However, it still remains so important that everyone follows the Government guidelines otherwise the convoy could be stopped and we might not be able to run the event again, which would be devastating. We really want everyone to enjoy our festive fleet but we ask them to please remember to make space: please do not gather in groups with others from outside of your household to watch the Tractor Run. Stand two metres away from others and a safe distance away from the road and passing traffic.

"If someone is already at your preferred spot, simply move a little further along the pavement or verge. The route is long and there are lots of great opportunities to find a suitable and safe place to watch. Cover your face - wear a face covering wherever you chose to watch the convoy."

The route for this year begins at the RC Baker headquarters at Spring Hill Farm, Barford St Michael. Times are approximate and depend on the traffic.

The convoy leaves the farm at 5pm heading for South Newington for 5.05pm through the top of the village and right onto the A361. It will proceed to Milcombe, arriving at 5.15pm and turning right back to the A361 and Bloxham ((5.25pm). It will turn right at the mini-roundabout and head to Milton (5.35pm) then onwards through West Adderbury (5.40pm), left at the Oxford Road, then right onto the A4100 heading for Aynho (6pm).

The procession will turn right towards Clifton (6.10pm) and onwards to Deddington (6.20pm) where it will drive through the Market Place, over the Oxford Road and on to Hempton (6.30pm) where it will turn right to Barford St Michael (6.40pm) along High Street and left onto Lower Street, past the George Inn, Barford Road and back towards Spring Hill Farm.

The end of the procession is estimated to be at 6.45pm at which point the farmers will disperse and make their merry way home.
