Christmas in Banburyshire - Winners of our Hillier Christmas Tree & Lights and Wykham Park Farm Shop turkey competitions announced
The winners of our Hillier Christmas Tree and Lights and Banbury Town Council turkey competitions have been announced.
The winner of a 6ft fresh Nordmann fir Christmas tree with 750 lights, courtesy of Hillier Garden Centre, Banbury is Mrs Sue Baldwin of Brackley.
The winner of a farm fresh, oven-ready turkey, donated by Cllr John Colegrave at Wykham Park Farm Shop, is Joe Tompkins of Neithrop Avenue, Banbury.
Mr Tompkins has had an extra Christmas surprise this year as Mr Colegrave has extended his prize to include all the vegetables and trimmings Mr Tompkins needs to put a full Christmas dinner on the table.
