Volunteer drivers wanted to help long-standing Brackley transport service

Brackley Area Volunteer Car Service has provided transport to elderly and disadvantaged people in Brackley for over 20 years.

Hide AdThe service has around 500 registered passengers and a team of almost 50 drivers and is looking for more volunteers to help.
It completed 2,500 return journeys last year, taking people who do not have access to public or private transport to important medical or social care appointments.
A spokesperson for South Northants Volunteer Bureau who operates the service said: “Volunteers provide more than just a ride, they offer emotional support and companionship, forming connections that reduce loneliness and build community.
