Learning disability charity in Banbury celebrates 60th anniversary with day of gardening and DIY

Staff members from a Banbury-based charity have organised a day of gardening and DIY to bring new life to its facilities.

More than 20 members of Home Farm Trust (HFT), which offers support to people with learning difficulties, will dedicate their time to improve facilities at Rockholme in Hightown Road, Banbury on Thursday, August, 11.

The gardening and DIY work is part of the charity's 60th anniversary and will see front doors and banisters painted as well as work taking place in the garden.

Many people that are supported by the HFT in Banbury will be taking part in the day as the garden was used extensively during the lockdown and means a lot to the people that use the service.

Teresa Parker, chief commercial housing officer at HFT, said “We wanted to do something fun that gets us all to work together as a team as a way of showing our support for HFT’s 60th anniversary celebrations, which kick off officially in September.”
