The latest figures from the Government's Office of National Statistics (ONS) show the areas in and around Banbury which were hardest hit by Covid-19 almost year from the start of the pandemic.

The latest ONS data shows the number of deaths and the per cent of deaths caused by Covid-19, which were registered between March 2020 and February 2021.

Every death is tragic and the latest figures come as the country will mark the one-year anniversary of the start of the pandemic with a Day of Reflection on Tuesday March 23.

The Hardwick area of Banbury town was hit the hardest with highest per cent of deaths attributed to Covid at 19 per cent.

Chipping Norton and the Enstone Middle Barton areas had the highest per cent of Covid deaths for the entire Banburyshire area with 21 per cent each for the year.
