head teacher Emma Goldsmith said: "The coronavirus pandemic is unprecedented and this is an extremely difficult time for all of us. Everyone in our school community will have unique circumstances, both professionally and personally, and we have great empathy with this.

"Our role at Winchester House is to support our children and their families in order that our pupils make the most progress during this time, and we're delighted that the online learning programme we've launched this week can help pupils and parents alike and ensure that we remain at the forefront of educational provision.”

Parents and pupils have enjoyed the first week of online learning and are looking forward to this week. One parent said: "We are so impressed and proud of the Winchester House team. The dedication, support and above all resources has been outstanding. The boys are smiling and very excited about their topics. Can’t say technology is always going to be on our side but will do our best.”

Chris Higgins, Director of Communications at the school, praised the hard work of the staff who have worked to create the online learning platform: “Winchester House School is a fantastic community and our teaching staff has worked incredibly hard to put the online learning programme in place over the last few weeks so we can make a good start to the summer term.

"I am incredibly proud of our supportive community as we navigate these difficult times. Staff, children and families are working together to ensure our children continue to make progress with their learning and benefit from the pastoral support on offer from the school."
