Jennie Walsh had a video filmed of the minute-long routine which shows her dressed as St George the knight at the edge of a driveway coming across a dinosaur and moments later slaying it.

She said: "I recently joined a group on Facebook called Bin Isolation Outing set up in Australia and did a video dressed as 70’s chick putting my bin out.

"I then had a thought about doing one for St George’s day, as it was only a few days away. I had an outfit, so rang Gemma and asked if G-Rex wanted to collude in making a little clip for laughs."

People around the world celebrate St George’s Day on 23 April, the anniversary of his death. St George is best known for slaying a dragon.

Jennie teamed up with Gemma Whitton-Dews, another Banbury resident who took to fancy dress to cheer up her community as a way to celebrate St George's Day.

Gemma started a dancing dinosaur routine last month to bring smiles to the community. The dinosaur routines are mostly from Gemma's backyard while she's on isolation. It now has its own stand alone Facebook page for it called G-Rex The Dancing Dinosaur.

Jennie and Gemma filmed the knight slaying the dinosaur video yesterday (Wednesday April 22) in time to post on social media for St George's Day, today April 23.

Jennie added: It's just trying to lighten the mood a bit and put a smile on peoples faces.

"Laughter, as they say is the best medicine and in these trying times, we all need a bit of a distraction.

Jennie, who is self-employed hair dresser hopes to return to work soon at The Salon, Hillview Crescent, Banbury.

She added: "I’m quite patriotic and put a flag outside the house every year."

Jennie has changed her profile picture on her Facebook page to show the words 'Proud to be English' and April 23 St. George's Day.' She has added added the English flag as her cover photo for her Facebook page.

She said: "I think that our local community, countrywide and worldwide is coming together in a way that I’ve never experienced before."
