James attends daily LAS progress meetings and reports to the army’s London District HQ from the NHS, London Resilience Forum and Nightingale Hospital.

James said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to help during this extraordinary time. My role is to enable support from the military to the London Ambulance Service where appropriate, which can vary day- to-day with logistics.

“I remain ready, responsive and resilient and feel privileged to work alongside hardworking, lifesaving professionals.”

James works for the Vistry Partnerships Thames Valley region, which he joined last month after transferring from Linden Homes. His last role in the army was in the Basing team, which provides infrastructure for army units. He has been a reservist since 2018.
