The quiz night held at the Voujon restaurant on Thursday, October 19 was organised to help support 10-year-old Billy Humphrey's physiotherapy treatment so he can achieve his dream of walking.

Billy, who lives an active life but relies on sticks or a wheelchair to get around, had the Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) operation in May last year at Great Ormond Street Hospital, which removed the spasticity from his legs.

He also underwent successful surgery on his feet and is now making good progress in twice-weekly physiotherapy sessions to build up the strength in his legs.

Billy’s parents, Peter and Karen, organised the night, which saw around 90 people pack out the restaurant for aa evening of fun quizzes, great food, and entertaining live music.

Karen said: “The night was just brilliant; we had Donella Siviter and Nigel Lyons perform as The Two of Us sing as everyone enjoyed their curries.

"We also had a picture quiz round that people could complete while they were eating and two rounds of quizzes, with some more singing and a raffle at the end of the evening."
