Banbury area which previously showed spike in Covid-19 cases sees dramatic drop in cases

The area in the Banbury region which recently showed a dramatic increase in Covid-19 cases has now seen the numbers reverse with a large drop in cases.

The latest government figures show the Middleton Cheney and Chipping Warden areas to have a 67 per cent decrease in Covid cases after recently seeing a massive increase in cases.

The figures show a total 18 cases at a decrease by 37 for the Middleton Cheney and Chipping Warden areas near Banbury in the seven day period ending on November 11. This time the figures show the Middleton Cheney area to have the largest decrease in cases for the entire Banbury area.

Most of the Banbury area showed a decrease in Covid cases with the exception of a few areas which saw big increases.

The Brackley North area has largest number of cases for the entire Banburyshire area with 27 cases, an increase from 10 for the seven day period.

The Grimsbury area of Banbury showed the second largest number of cases with 22, which was a decrease of 13 cases.

Cropredy, Wroxton and Shennington: 16 cases - increase by 12

Banbury Hardwick: 16 cases - increase by 5

Banbury Easington: 14 cases - increase by 1

Bodicote, Adderbury and Bloxham: 12 cases - decrease by 4

Kineton, Tysoe and Warmington: 11 cases - decrease by 10

Fenny Compton, Harbury and Long Itchington: 18 cases - increase by 2

Brackley South: 11 cases - decrease by 3

Shipston: 10 cases - increase by 7

Kings Sutton and Greatworth: 9 cases - increase by 2

Chipping Norton: 6 cases - increase by 1
