Banbury area school partially closes due to Covid-19

A Banbury school has partially closed due to the impact of Covid-19.

According to the Oxfordshire County Council's emergency school closure list, the Warriner School is listed as only partially open due to Covid-19 from Friday December 11 until Tuesday January 5.

The listing on the county's closure website said: "Due to a case of Covid the following students will need to self isolate and have been informed: year 7 - 5 year 10 - 6 year 11 - 3 Return date 6-1-21 – after Xmas break."

The Bloxham school becomes the third area school to be currently impacted by Covid.

According to the Oxfordshire County Council's emergency school closure list, two other schools are currently partially closed due to Covid.

Pupils from Dashwood Academy primary school who have been self-isolating due to Covid since Monday December 7. Reception children from Dashwood returned to school on Friday December 11, while year 6 pupils will return on Wednesday December 16.

Pupils from Queensway Primary School have also been self-isolating due to Covid. The year 2 bubble and nine children in year one are isolating from the primary school are part of the the 'After School Club.'

Those pupils from Queensway Primary School until Friday December 18.

Three Banbury area schools took the government's advice and have chosen to dismiss pupils early later this week.
