Sporty students near Banbury pull an 'all-nighter' with a difference - and raise thousands of pounds for charity

Students near Banbury pulled an 'all-nighter' with a difference - and raised thousands of pounds for charity in the process.

The Warriner School’s PE department organised and hosted the first Sports Relief 24 hour netball challenge back in April.

And overall, the youngsters managed to raise £3543.41.

"The uptake was fantastic with over 100 young people being sponsored for this challenge, with most staying awake through the whole event!" said the school.

"The aim was to keep a netball court alive with games throughout the 24-hour period with no time delay getting students on and off the court - it was achieved with resounding success!

"We are immensely proud of such a fantastic achievement and believe it displays the care and compassion we are instilling in our young people at The Warriner.

"Well done and thank you to all who took part, who sponsored those doing so and to the adults who supported in running the event."
