Schoolchildren in Wroxton raise hundreds of pounds by running more than 100km in their Santa hats

The 83 children at Wroxton Primary School have certainly risen to the challenge of a Santa Relay Run to rase funds for local charity Katherine House Hospice.

Every child in the school has been given a Santa hat to wear for this worthwhile relay running event.

Together they have run in excess of 100km and raised an amazing £855 so far.

Hannah Lehman from Katherine House has commented to the school how amazed and impressed she is by the amount they have raised.

Carol Taylor, assistant headteacher at the school, said: "The children have had a great time running in their hats whilst still improving their own fitness.

"Our value this term is 'caringc and Wroxton certainly is a caring school. I am thrilled by how all the school community have backed this worthwhile event."
