Banbury students reach for the stars on Euro trip

Students from a Banbury school learned about life onboard a spaceship during a once-in-a-lifetime European trip.
The group from Futures Institute tested flight simulators, experiencing take-off and orbiting while visiting the Euro Space Center in Brussels.
They explored the daily life of astronauts using the multi-axis chair, zero-gravity wall, Moonwalk, Space Rotor and many other interactive activities.
There were also workshops where students built and launched micro-rockets and assembled a satellite in a clean room.

They explored the Belgian city, soaking up the culture and sampling world-famous chocolates.
The trip also included hands-on learning at the Technopolis Interactive Science Museum.
Students visited the Atomium, taking in its history, design and views, and enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Belgium’s most famous sporting venues, the King Baudouin Stadium.
