Banbury school donates 50 pairs of science goggles to local doctor's surgery

Tudor Hall, an independent girls boarding and day school for 11-18 year olds in Wykham Park, Banbury, donated 50 pairs of goggles to the Woodlands Surgery in Burchester Place, Banbury.

Wendy Griffiths, headmistress at Tudor Hall School, said: “We are delighted to be able to help the NHS in any way we can. This is a very small gesture on our part. We hope we can to do more in the future.”

A doctor from the Woodlands Surgery reached out to the Banbury Guardian to show their thanks to the school.

Dr Emma Halliday, a GP at Woodlands Surgery, said: "Tudor Hall school have been extremely generous and donated their science goggles to Woodlands, a Local GP surgery to be used as eye protection as part of PPE during the Coronavirus pandemic.

"We are very grateful as so far we have had no eye protection, and it is unclear when or if any will arrive for our use despite being ordered.

"We’d like to say a big thank you to Tudor Hall, whose headmistress Wendy Griffiths said yes immediately after we reached out, and we were able to get hold of the goggles within a few hours amazingly."
