Sixteen staff members from the Bishop Loveday Primary School walked a 10k on Saturday October 17 to raise money for Mind.

The walk started at Bishop Loveday Primary School, White Post Road in Bodicote, and from there they walked to Bloxham and back along the fields, open pathways and through the villages.

The following 16 staff members took part in the charity fundraiser walk: Alison Bridge, Wendy Rakela, Sophie Johnson, Gill Robson, Pippa Ashe, Louise Gardner, Charlotte Smith, Orla Bourke, Denise Gregory, Amanda Cullup, Kelly Naish, Katty Wyatt, Tara Lever, Emma Wood, Julie MacMillan and Alison Shadbolt.

Bubbles were created for the walk, and social distancing measures were in place at all times for the walk.

Melanie Hammond, the office administrator at the primary school, said: "It was lovely for the girls to catch up and chat along the way, as we are very much separated at school with bubbles unable to mix at break times and lunch times.

"They have raised over £2000 from online donations through the Just Giving page for the Charity Mind. This is a charity really close to most of us at school, either through supporting us or members of our family or friends."
