King's Sutton Primary Academy will be fully shut for at least two days due to issues with its boiler.

The school posted notices to the public on social media about the closure, which said the issues with the boiler have resulted in the school having no heating across the school.

The school's message to the community on its Facebook said: "With the current weather forecast, it is not possible to have anyone in the building without heating.

"We have had an emergency engineer visit the site this evening (Monday February 8) and the parts that are required are not likely to be available until Wednesday. It is therefore highly likely that we will remain closed for Tuesday and Wednesday (February 10).

"Mr Ward is liaising with the engineer and if there is any update or progress on this matter, we will update you accordingly. Remote learning will be available via teams for all pupils."
