The vending machines, which are now operational with face masks available, are located at the following three points the Cornhill entrance, the East Market entrance nad the M&S end of the shopping centre.

Oliver Wren, Centre Director at Castle Quay Shopping Centre, said: “The safety and wellbeing of shoppers, staff and retailers is our number one priority. Easy access to face coverings can help to prevent the spread of the virus, giving people the confidence to gradually return to normality as we emerge from the lockdown.”

The PPE vending machines were installed by the Westminster Group, a Banbury-based global solutions and security company.

A spokesperson from the Westminster Group said: "Westminster Group as a Banbury based company thought it was only correct to approach Castle Quay and ask if we could place our PPE vending machines into our local shopping centre.

"We have three machines in place at the centre dispensing a wide range of masks and hand sanitiser.

"The machines will give shoppers the ability to purchase a facial covering immediately if they feel need to wear one. Castle Quay is one of many sites throughout the country that will have this accessibility. I would like to thank Oliver and his team at for being so accommodating in getting the machines into Castle Quay."
