Pop-up shop selling children’s toys, books and gifts is set to open in Banbury
Founders Carly Allison and Sophie Powell discovered they shared a passion for all things unique and beautiful for children when they met on maternity leave
Two mums who met on maternity leave will be opening up a pop-up shop at Castle Quay Shopping Centre in Banbury, selling children’s toys, books and gifts.
Founders Carly Allison and Sophie Powell, both live in Banbury, discovered they shared a passion for all things unique and beautiful for children.
And after countless questions of, “where did you find that?” they decided to turn their passion into an online store to make life easier for like-minded people looking to find unique gifts for little ones.
The shop, called POP, will open tomorrow (Thursday September 10).
The business was set up three years ago and initially functioned as an online business until about a year ago when they opened their first small shop.
The owners of POP describe the business as ethically minded and their aim is to source sustainable products that last a lifetime from small and independent businesses.
The pop-up store will be based unit 69 next to USC and open Tuesday to Friday between 10am – 4pm and on Saturdays between 9.30am – 5pm. A click and collect service will also be available.
Oliver Wren, centre director at Castle Quay Shopping Centre, said: “This is an exciting new addition to Castle Quay and completely complements the opening of Lock29, which is all about supporting the local community and local producers.
"The store looks brilliant and it has been curated beautifully. All items are widely sourced from independent businesses in the UK, which makes it a very special place for children and adults alike to visit and purchase something unique.”
