Once open, the store will provide a selection of food and non-food products for local people, including Sainsbury’s popular Tu Clothing range and homeware. There will be great choice of food-to-go and an in store bakery featuring delicious freshly baked goods.

An Argos store inside the supermarket will also bring great choice, value and convenience to customers who will benefit from thousands of technology, home and toy products. There will also be 250 car parking spaces available and a new petrol station.

The new and modern supermarket at Northampton Road in Brackley has been designed to bring the best possible benefits to the local community. The supermarket will be around 20,000 square feet with recruitment currently underway for more than 100 positions across a range of roles and levels in store.

Work is currently underway to complete the petrol station and landscaping surrounding the store. The team is also busy installing signage, shelving and the checkouts.

Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s property director, said: “We really appreciate the support and patience of the local community. We’re proud to be investing in the local area, supporting hundreds of jobs and giving residents great shopping choice.”

Cllr. Bagot-Webb, chairman of South Northants Council, said: “It’s fantastic to see the work underway on site and I thank the Sainsbury’s team for their efforts to open the store by the end of November. The supermarket is a real boost to our local economy and I wish the new store members all the best as they undergo their training in the lead up to opening day.”

Cllr Chris Cartmell, Brackley Town mayor said: “It was a very interesting visit seeing examples of environmental technologies like rainwater harvesting and electric charging points in the car park that Sainsbury’s are employing with this new store.

"I'm sure that residents are very keen to use the store. Well done to the Sainsbury's Property Development Team for bringing the project in on time.”
