Banbury's Lock29 becomes 'dog friendly' venue
Lock29 has become a 'dog friendly' food and drink venue following the end of the second national lockdown on Wednesday December 2.
Until now, only guide and assistance dogs have been allowed inside the space. Given the popularity of the canal and local parks among dog walkers, the decision was taken to relax restrictions and officially make Lock29 a dog-friendly venue to offer a more attractive environment for pooches and their owners.

"We know that this is something that the public have been asking for since we opened our doors in August, so it is fantastic that we are now able to make it happen. All we ask is that you follow the ‘doggy code of conduct’ and enjoy your time safely with us.”
As part of the new plans, all Lock29 front of house staff have been trained to deal with dogs and signage outlining the ‘Doggy Do’s and Don’ts’ is now in place throughout Lock29.
To celebrate the opening up of the space to our four-legged friends, there will be a competition running on social media asking owners to share photos of their dogs visiting Lock29 for a chance to win a £100 voucher to spend there.
