A spokesperson for the Matalan department store, in Cherwell Street near the town centre of Banbury, has confirmed the store will not reopen after the lockdown.
The spokesperson said the closure of the store is unrelated to the current Covid-19 pandemic. The spokesperson said the store had already been under review for a significant period of time.
No other details about the closure were immediately available, including how many staff members will be impacted.
It becomes the third large department in the town centre of Banbury to shut within the last year.
