The sponsorship will allow the club to secure services of county cricket players for the team and continue to provide top quality sports services to children and young people in Banbury following the pandemic

Martin Phillips, chairman at Banbury Cricket Club, said: “We are extremely proud to be able to provide some of the best club cricket facilities in the country to families from the Banbury area, but like all local clubs we are entirely reliant on volunteers and support from the local business community.

“On behalf of the members of Banbury Cricket Club, including the 150 plus children and young people who train and play using our facilities each week, I would like to thank David Wilson Homes for its support.”

Reformed in 1949, Banbury Cricket Club has developed in recent years into the leading club side in Oxfordshire, winning the inaugural Home Counties Premier League in 2000.

The club presents a range of teams for all ages and abilities including: social Sunday team, ladies’ teams and youth teams offering sessions for those aged six years upwards.

David Wilson Homes is currently building a range of three, four and five bedroom homes at The Pavilions in Bodicote.
