The apprenticeship evening offers the chance for Banburyshire schools to learn more about Dematic’s two to four year apprenticeship scheme, hear from current apprentices of the programme, see some of the latest robotics technology created by current apprentices and learn more about the trends and innovation taking place in the logistics sector.

As a business which has chosen to base its Northern European headquarters in Banbury, Dematic is committed to contributing to the community and the growth of the local economy. Their apprenticeship program is part of this pledge and they offer 20 places a year dependent on business needs.

Dematic’s Angela Holt, head of the training academy and Darren Smith, apprentice manager, as well as other heads of departments and current apprentices, will be on hand to discuss a variety of topics including:

• The apprenticeship schemes available

• How the apprenticeship programme has evolved since being established

• How Dematic is working with local schools to attract more women into the industry

• Why apprenticeships can be a better route to a career in the logistics sector than academia

The event will take place between 4pm and 8pm on Tuesday, February 25 at Banbury Business Park in Trinity Way. Attendees can either sign up to the event on the Dematic Apprenticeship website or just turn up on the day.
