Director and head of drama at Sibford School, Neil Madden, said ‘I have spent a long time considering directing this show. I first thought of doing it when I came to Sibford six years ago, however I realised it was a significant challenge in the year I began my teaching career.

"So why now? The answer is simple; the time is right. We have been developing our students and encouraged them to grow their skills and confidence over the past five years in every single show we have produced, from ‘Cabaret’ to ‘Spamalot’ and ‘Accrington Pals’.’

"Every single member of the cast, crew and staff know each other very well. It has got to the stage when students pre-empt and second guess what needs to be done and where to be. This is a fantastic joy to me to see how this happens in every single rehearsal."

The cast also benefitted from a recent visit from Flik Swan, a West End choreographer and professional dancer, who helped to choreograph three major numbers from the show.

Tickets for Les Misérables School Edition which runs from Tuesday, March 3 until Friday, March 6 are available online via the ‘What’s on’ page on the Sbford School website priced at £8 + booking fee.
