“The Run” premieres this October — Discover the power of fostering
Northamptonshire Children’s Trust (NCT) is inviting members of the community to attend two upcoming Fostering Information Evenings this October, where the powerful new short film “The Run” will make its debut.
Taking place at the Old Savoy Theatre in Northampton and the Holiday Inn Express in Kettering, these events offer a unique opportunity to learn more about fostering and the life-changing impact it can have on children in care.
Colin Foster, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Children’s Trust said “We see first-hand the journey and experiences of our children and young people, and the incredible impact foster carers have by offering them safety, stability, and love.”
“There’s a real and ongoing need for more foster carers. If you’ve ever considered fostering, I encourage you to come along, watch ‘The Run’, and speak with our dedicated team to learn how you could change a child’s life.”
The highlight of the evenings will be the premiere of “The Run”, a moving short film that follows the story of Tom, an 11-year-old boy constantly on the move running from fear, instability, and a chaotic home life. The film offers a raw and emotional glimpse into the challenges faced by children in care and the hope that comes with finding a safe and loving foster home.
Attendees will also hear real-life stories from foster carers, take part in Q&A sessions with the NCT team, and have the chance to speak one-on-one about the fostering process. Whether you're ready to begin your fostering journey or simply want to learn more, these evenings are designed to inform, inspire, and connect.
