Fundraising bid by the BSO
The ‘Music To Make You Dance!’ event is supported by Banbury Town Council and will raise money for The British Heart Foundation, as well as the Anjali dance company.

Hide AdThe Orchestra’s programme for the night features Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and music from Leonard Berstein’s West Side Story.
They will be joined on stage by performers from Banbury- based dance company Anjali, a charity which develops the creative abilities of people with learning disabilities.
The performance by the orchestra will also feature the world premiere of a new work by Brackley-based composer Nick Planas, entitled The Symphony of Dances.

Hide AdJulie Hieatt, chairwoman at the British Heart Foundation in Banbury, said: “We are extremely pleased to be the BSO’s partner.”
“The money raised will help the local branch of the country’s number one heart charity enormously. I hope that St Mary’s is packed for what will be a fantastic evening of entertainment.”
Leader of Banbury Town Council, Kieron Mallon, also voiced his enthusiasm, adding: “We are pleased to support this annual charity fundraising event.

The concert takes place on Saturday, June 27 at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Banbury.
