Crafty family fun for all at Compton Verney

There are plenty of creative activities at Compton Verney to keep the kids from getting bored over the summer holidays.

There will be the chance to join in with giant collaborative creations, make mini models and imagine your own stories about the art at Compton Verney.

All these fantastic activities are included in the admission price which is £3 for children, under 5s go free.

Throughout the summer be inspired by the Hart Silversmith’s exhibition and design your own silverware using a variety of art materials.

Every Picture Tells a Story is a playful gallery talk for the young and young at heart. This daily talk runs from Tuesday July 28 to Sunday August 2 at 1.30pm enabling visitors of all ages to create their own stories behind the art on display.

From Tuesday August 4 to Friday September 4 between 11am and 4pm visit The Studio and join in the summer Artspace: Arts & Crafts House activity. Design a mini model in a shoebox of your favourite room and decorate it in an Arts and Crafts style.

Visitors can also go to a family friendly café which offers children’s lunch boxes and a range of healthy snacks. For a full meal visit the Lawn Restaurant with a dedicated children’s menu and children’s high chairs.

There are also a range of free family backpacks and trails available for all ages.
