The group’s annual pilgrimmage to St Peter’s Chuch just about all that remains of the deserted mediæval village on Sunday.

“You might say this is Fiori’s alternative to the Glastonbury Festival! There are no mod cons, no electricity, no lighting, no church furnishings.

The concert begins at 6.30pm. Audiences are warmly encouraged to bring a picnic and make the most of this special event. But be warned, access (off the A45 at Braunston by the Boat House, or - rather easier - via Flecknoe) is tricky.

Virtually nothing remains of the original pews – just a few antiquated benches – so a cushion for comfort would not be a bad idea either.

Tickets cost from £15 to £20 and are available from www.fiori-musicali.com where you can find full details. Discounted tickets are availale for children, students, unemployed and blue badge
