Thames Valley Air Ambulance Open Garden Scheme. The gardens of Broughton Grange are beautifully set in 350 acres of parkland, farmland and open meadow, with planting that owes its origins to the Victorian era. In the early 20th century and under the ownership of Lady Ottoline and Philip Morrell, figures such as Bertrand Russell and Lytton Strachey were entertained on the estate. Broughton Grange now represents one of the most significantly private contemporary gardens in Britain. The tree collection at Broughton includes a wide range of

Using the castle’s landscapes and gardens as their inspiration, members of the Banbury & District Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild, who meet in St Mary’s House, Broughton, have interpreted them with fabric and thread to produce unique pieces of work, which will be displayed throughout the castle.
