HUNDREDS of amateur singers will come together in Banbury on Saturday, December 1 to take part in Rock Choir’s Big Sing.
The event, being held at St Mary’s Church in Horse Fair, will help raise funds and awareness for the national charity Missing People.
As well as performing numbers from Rock Choir’s feel-good repertoire of pop, gospel and motown classics, around 200 members from Banburyshire will be holding raffles, cake and handicraft sales to raise money for the charity.
The ‘Big Sing’ event is being co-ordinated by local Rock Choir leader, Debbie Coates.
She said: “We’re hoping funds raised will help the charity continue its vital work in searching for and safely reconnecting missing children and vulnerable adults and supporting families through the heartache of searching for a loved one.”
Although the event is only for Rock Choir members, up-coming shows open to the public can be found on www.rockchoir.com
