A FAMILY has gained a valuable new member that is very small but perfectly formed.
Mickie - an eight-week-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - is just four inches tall from ground to shoulder, eight inches long and weighs just over 1lb.

He is the latest addition to the Payne family, from Forgeway in Banbury, and is causing quite a stir.

And although Mickie has plenty of time to grow, experts from the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Breed Club, say he should be around double his current size.

For the full story see this week's Banbury Guardian, on sale now.

- Mickie is not called Gizmo, as incorrectly reported in this week's Banbury Guardian. Gizmo was the name of another dog previously owned by the Payne family. We apologise for the error.
