Two of Banbury’s three victories have come on the road, at Chippenham and Old Centralians. They gained their first win at Bodicote Park in their last game but Kerr knows his side need to become consistent to move up the table

He said: “It’s all about getting consistency into our games. If we don’t keep progressing, previous victories and performances become devalued.

“We’ve got to make sure we keep picking up wins from the teams around us and Reading Abbey are one of those sides.”

Jimmy Manley, James Barge and Mano Paniagua are unavailable for Saturday’s trip to Reading Abbey but Bulls have plenty of strength in depth these days.

Last weekend’s Oxon Knockout Cup tie was cancelled with Grove unable to raise a side. That means Bulls go through but not in a satisfactory manner.

Kerr said: “We trained as normal on Thursday for Saturday’s cup tie but found out that night Grove couldn’t get a side. They wanted to switch to Friday night but we didn’t have players available at such short notice.”
