Head coach James Kerr says Ed Phillips and Alex Stevenson will continue to share the kicking duties for Banbury Bulls.

The former captain has stepped in during the opening two games when Stevenson has faltered.

We always like to have options with our kickers, Alex Stevenson and Ed Phillips are both good kickers

But Kerr said: “We always like to have options with our kickers, Alex Stevenson and Ed Phillips are both good kickers. We went with Alex to start with but he missed a couple of kicks and that can affect your confidence.

“Alex is capable of becoming a very good kicker and both will continue to train together at the kicking practice sessions.”

Winger Jed Boyle and second row forward Ed Harden are unavailable for Saturday’s home game against Grove, Ken Key is a doubt with an ankle injury and Matt Goode will be out for another week with an arm injury he picked up at Witney on the opening day.
