Kerr backs his side to build on win

The turnaround at Bodicote Park has seen Banbury Bulls climb away from the relegation zone following three straight wins and coach James Kerr is backing his side to carry on the good work.

Bulls are now five points above the relegation zone in Midlands Two West South ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bedworth where Kerr will be looking for his side to complete their first double. Bedworth are one place above Bulls thanks to their superior bonus points advantage.

Kerr said: “We need to keep the momentum going now and look to make it four wins on the bounce because we could easily get sucked back into the relegation area as our bonus point count is very low.

“If we can keep clear of the relegation area I think we could push on and finish somewhere near where we should be. We beat Bedworth earlier in the season and it’s another fixture against a team who are around us in the table. But it will still be a hard place to go.”
