IT’S no surprise that all of today’s (Saturday) sporting fixtures involving Banburyshire clubs have been wiped out.

Cancelled football games include Banbury United’s Evo-Stik League Southern clash with Stourbridge at Spencer Stadium and Brackley Town’s trip to Histon in Blue Square Bet North while in rugby union, Banbury Bulls visit to Bedworth is postponed.

With more snow forecast for Sunday and the early part of next week, Saints’ game with Gloucester City at St James Park on Tuesday is already in doubt as is the Puritans’ trip to Coventry Sphinx in the third round of the Bimingham Senior Cup.
