Olympian Beth Tweddle was one of the guests to mark Women’s Sport Week at Tudor Hall School.

More than 200 girls from Banburyshire primary and prep schools took part in several activities.

They included a hockey master class with Rio gold medalist Laura Unsworth and Austrian hockey legend Todd Williams.

There were also workshops with 4x400m bronze medalist Emily Diamond, Tae Kwon Do bronze medalist Bianca Walkden and 2012 gymnastic bronze medalist Tweddle.

The week is being run nationally by leading charity Women in Sport, National Governing Bodies, Sport England, the Department for Culture, Media & Sport and broadcasters the BBC and Sky Sports.

It aims to raise awareness of opportunities for women of all abilities and backgrounds to engage in sport, by taking part, volunteering and experiencing live sport, and to play an active role in sport leadership and workforce, from coaching to boardrooms, across the country.

Funds raised by Tudor Hall during the week will go to Women in Sport’s new fundraising campaign to help transform sport for the benefit of every woman and girl in the UK.
