MW ARDEN has confirmed that Robert Visoiu will complete their driver line-up for the 2013 GP3 Championship.
The 16-year-old Romanian driver moved up from Formula Abarth to GP3 in 2012. He finished 14th last year, securing his first podium at his inaugural weekend in Barcelona.
The Banbury team was very pleased with Visoiu’s performance in Estoril, where he finished in the top five over the two day test.
Sporting director Julian Rouse said: “We’re pleased to have Robert on board with us for this season.
“At such a young age he is a very proficient and talented driver. Robert impressed us a lot when he joined the team for the Estoril test session last year, being as competitive as other drivers we tested despite his young age.
“Only a few years ago we recruited the 16-year-old, who went on to win the GP3 Championship with us last year. It would be nice to see this happen again.”
