Brawn salutes Schumacher

TEAM boss Ross Brawn paid tribute to Michael Schumacher after he ended his Formula 1 career with a battling seventh place finish in the Brazilian Grand Prix for Brackley’s Mercedes AMG Petronas team.

Brawn said: “It was a nice way to finish the season and Michael’s career with us. In terms of results, his second spell in Formula 1 hasn’t been as special but it has been so for all of us who have had the privilege of working with him.

“It has been a real honour for all of our team, and working alongside Michael gives you a real understanding of why he is so special and has achieved seven world championships.”
