Team GB Olympian and gold medallist Hollie Webb will be attending Sunday’s club day at Banbury Hockey Club.
Webb was part of the team that captured the nation’s hearts when they won Great Britain’s first gold medal in women’s hockey at Rio and the country’s first gold in the sport since 1988.
Webb, who scored the deciding penalty shuffle to overcome the Netherlands in the final and secure the gold medal, will be visiting Banbury’s Club Day at the North Oxfordshire Academy from 12-2pm this Sunday.
There will be a chance to get photographs and autographs with Webb, find out what’s it like to be a gold medalist in a Q&A session and join her on the pitch to learn some new skills and tricks.
The club day will start at 9.30am with an Olympic-themed session for under-6 to under-11 players. The ladies first team will play an exhibition match and then the pitch will be converted into a skills zone.
Refreshments will be served all day as well as a fully licensed bar.
