Carole Galletly sealed the Champion of Champions title at South Oxford.

The Banbury Central bowler beat Carol Gaskins of Oxford City & County 21-10 in the final.

Earlier, Galletly won 21-14 against last year’s winner Margaret Bullock (Shiplake), 21-9 against Hillary Briffet (South Oxford) and 21-5 against Emma Gilkes (Watlington).

Alan Carter lost in his Champion of Champions final at Oxford City & County.

He won 21-17 against Brian Bloomfield (Witney Town), 21-7 against Chris Tomlins (OUP) and 21-19 against David Leighfield (Chipping Norton). But the Central bowler was narrowly beaten in the final 20-21 by previous winner Howard Watts (Headington).

Adderbury finished the season on a high beating Witney Town 129-117 on Saturday.

It was sweet revenge for the 144-78 defeat at Witney earlier in the season but not enough to overcome the deficit in the Green Barney Memorial Shield.

Bryan Ogilvie with Lil Bryan, Roy Dickson and Janet Fountain romped home 31-12, Tom Clark with Graham Tyrrell, Tony Collett and Dave Allington won 23-16 while Dave Salter’s rink of Neal Taylor, Rob Foreman and George Sainsbury had a 20-17 victory.

John Radley with Terry Mold, Eric George and John Hermon drew 19-19 but Malcolm Brown with Peter Wells, Gordon Sumner and Erica Brown went down 18-26 and Cliff Hall with Steve Millard, Les Smith and Malcolm Wigram lost 17-27.
