Double for Webber as he beats conditions

With most racecourses snow-bound, Mollington trainer Paul Webber shot up the M6 on Sunday to saddle a couple of winners on the all-weather at Wolverhampton.

Orchard Boy landed the Class 5 Maiden Open Flat Race and Rysbrack followed up to win the Class 4 National Hunt Flat Race.

The five-year-old Orchard Boy was ridden by Dominic Elsworth who then partnered seven-year-old Rysbrack to complete a double for the Cropredy Lawn handler.

The Mollington handler could be represented at Towcester today (Thursday). Endofdiscusion has an entry in the Interactive Beginners’ Chase and the Jenkinsons Caterers Handicap Chase.

On the point-to-point front, this Saturday’s SMAC meeting at Whitfield has been abandoned.

At this stage there are no plans to rearrange the meeting which was postponed in December.
