Double for Longsdon

Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon completed a double at Huntingdon on Sunday.

Hilisvini landed the novices chase. The six-year-old was ridden by Noel Fehily who then partnered Brassick to win the novices hurdle.

Longsdon said: “Hildisvini was giving away 7lbs to the runner-up, so it was a fine performance. But both horses were given classic rides from Noel [Fehily], it has been great having him as part of our team.”

Pendra followed up to land the spoils at Plumpton on Monday. The four-year-old won the maiden hurdle in the hands of Fehily.

More racing in this week’s Banbury Guardian.
