Difficult to oppose Renegotiate

WE’VE teamed up with BetVictor and Charlie McCann to preview the weekend’s big races.

I’m looking to pick up a few pounds on the polytack instead! Jim Crowley has been riding out of his skin recently and has two interesting runners at Wolverhampton on Friday.

The first being top weight, course and distance winner Renegotiate (5.30) He’s had two starts for his new trainer Dr Richard Newlan, the first seeing him win a competitive little handicap and his most recent run finishing fifth in a Class 3. He’s now dropping back to a Class 6 and I doubt he will be a massive price but I can’t really see anything else in the race to oppose him. I’d be happy to have a score on the nose.

His second ride is Hipster (6pm) I am always enticed by a Jim Crowley and Ralph Beckett runner. Although only ever winning on the turf, he’s already won over the trip and having placed recently in his first ever start here; I think there is more to come from this progressive 3 year old!

Noel Quinlan’s Khawatim (Saturday 2pm Lingfield) landed a massive gamble at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and won with a fair bit in hand. I think he will go close off only a 4lb higher mark and any market support for him would also be a big positive.
