Sports are made to pay

EASINGTON Sports boss Phil Lines will be desperate for greater consistency against Headington Amateurs at Addison Road on Saturday.

Sports lost 2-1 at Chinnor in Saturday’s Division One East clash. Despite a good start Sports went behind in the 15th minute when Ryan Chapman netted.

Sports equalised in the 37th minute, the keeper could only parry James McMahon’s header and Pete Moulder was on hand to make no mistake.

Sports again started the second half well but Chinnor grabbed the winner in the 80th minute when Mark Avery headed home from a corner. Sports had an effort ruled out when Andrew Stidder netted late on but the whistle had already gone for an infringement.
