Slimbridge are too strong for Hooky

Hook Norton went out of the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup, beaten 5-1 by premier division Slimbridge in Saturday’s second round tie at The Bourne.

The visitors went ahead in the second minute through Daniel Holloway and Slimbridge doubled their lead six minutes later when the lively Saul Williams scored.

Williams got his second goal seven minutes later but the Brewery Boys reduced the arrears in the 29th minute through Jamie Wyatt.

But the next goal was always going to be important and it went the way of the visitors six minutes after the restart, Holloway netting his second goal. Slimbridge looked the sharper of the two sides and finished off the scoring in the 70th minute, substitute Junior Maderner beating Joe Murrell.
